I am a Christian and there is no doubt in my mind where I am going when this life ends.  It is my duty as a Christian to "spread the word", as all Christians should be doing:

"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on the earth, GO, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28: 18-20).

It has always been rather easy for me to attend funerals where I know the person who passed is in a better place, living a great life next to our Lord.  However, I am very sad at funerals where there is little doubt the person is now living an experience that the Bible says is pure and constant torture.  I can only pray that this person accepted Christ before the end.

I know what you might be thinking - "that's bull, as long as I am a good person, I get to go to heaven".  I know you think that because I thought that too.  But it is NOT true.  The Bible is very specific on the instructions you must take to get to heaven.  They are not hard - In fact, our God loves us so much that he made it very clear and very simple.  It is not God's desire that we end up in hell.  I ask you please, if nothing else for those you love, please read the following information in a Bible, or go to www.bible.com.  See for yourself.  These are not open to interpretation.  They are easy to read and easy to understand:

#1 - You must believe in Jesus: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."  John 11: 25-26

#2 - We are all sinners: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus"  Romans 3:23,24

#3 - The price for sin is death: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 6:23

#4 - Christ Died for us to wash away our sins: "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

#5 - Pray to the Lord.  Ask him to come into your heart.  Believe upon him and ask forgiveness of your sins.  A prayer like this will do fine:

"Almighty God, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and that he died so that my sins might be washed away.  Help me, oh Lord to repent of my sins and enter my life as my King."  If you said this, may God be with you for eternity and you with him.  Being a saved Christian is not an easy task in this world.  You will have to work at it.  Find a church (www.abaptist.org) and strive to be there every time the doors open.  It is much easier to be a good Christian when you are with others that believe like you.

It truly is amazing how many people get religious when there life on this earth is approaching its end.  I am very happy for them.  The only problem is that many of us will not get a notice.  One day, it will suddenly end.  Will it be tomorrow?  Tonight?

Please read my testimony here.  Praise God in whom all blessings flow!!
